I am the newly-elected Secretary for the Heyward Park Neighborhood Association. I would love some guidance on what we need in order to be able to offer tax-deductibility on donations to our fundraisers. We are planning a fundraising event very soon. Do we need federal 501(a) or (c) or some other status now, or at all? At this moment, we don’t even have a tax id number, so I’m on to that, too.

Hope you can help. We want to do this right.

I’m just sending a new updated list of names of current leadership in Eau Claire. The new president of the College Place Community Council is Sonia Norman. The new president of the Eau Claire Community Council is Reggie McKnight.
